Conociendo a los Dibujantes Urbanos Caracas . - La Diáspora: Carla Minnelly Gómez - Meet the Sketchers

Carla Minnelly Gómez 

Carla es Ingeniero y Diseñadora Gráfica. Después de vivir 10 años en el interior del país, regresa a Caracas a mediados del 2013, debido a la enfermedad de su mamá, y comenzó a buscar actividades de interés para ella. Así fue como gracias a una amiga participó en una de las jornada de los Dibujantes Urbanos. Carla nunca había escuchado sobre este movimiento.

Su amiga le comentó:  " me dijo que para ella era una actividad importante donde no llevaba a todo el mundo, cosa que me hizo sentir privilegiada, también me dijo que llevara algún cuaderno y cosas para dibujar y que tendría que dibujar lo que veía. Yo emocionada busqué un blog de dibujo A5 y mis lápices de grafito, algo que también me encantaba de aquella invitación era que re-conocería Caracas, ya que con tantos años viviendo en el interior no me acordaba de mucho...

" vi que llegaban, saludaban emocionados y comenzaban a dibujar, yo hice lo mismo e inmediatamente enamoré de la actividad, fue uno de esos días de gran felicidad que quedará guardado en mi memoria. Hice varios dibujos y ya nunca más paré de dibujar mis días, con el tiempo fui conociendo otros materiales y adaptándome a la técnica que todos usaban, me compré mis acuarelas y pincel de agua, libretas para acuarela, luego aprendí a hacerme yo misma mis libretas, y ahora es mi fiel compañera, ya nunca saldo de casa sin una libreta"

Carla, como varios dibujantes, ha dejado el país, actualmente está viviendo en Argentina , siempre se mantiene en contacto. Tiene otra actividad por la que la conocemos, el tatuaje, y ha tenido unas aventuras que en otro post me gustaría contarles, como ese viaje en bicicleta por Latinoamérica y además acaba de exponer 50 de sus dibujos en Argentina, la mayoría de ellos realizados "in situ", en una entrada anterior "Eventos" publiqué la invitación.

"Los USKCCS cambiaron mi vida, le dieron un nuevo sentido, nuevos objetivos y una hermosa manera de dejar mi historia contada.A la fecha tengo muchas libretas llenas de dibujos, mi historia en dibujos, muchos países dibujados, varias exposiciones y un mundo que falta por venir ..."

Carla is an Engineer and Graphic Designer. After living 10 years in the inside the country, she returned to Caracas in mid-2013, due to the illness of her mother, and began to seek activities that interest her. This is how, thanks to a friend, she participated in one of the Urban Sketchers' day. Carla had never heard of this movement.

Her friend commented: "She told me that for her it was an important activity where she did not take everyone, which made me feel privileged, she also told me to bring a notebook and things to draw and that I would have to draw what I saw. I excitedly looked for an A5 drawing blog and my graphite pencils, something that I also loved about that invitation was that I would re-know Caracas, since with so many years living in the interior I did not remember much ...

"I saw that they arrived, they greeted excitedly and they began to draw, I did the same and immediately fell in love with the activity, it was one of those days of great happiness that will remain in my memory. I made several drawings and I never stopped drawing my days again. Over time, I learned about other materials and adapted to the technique that everyone used, I bought my watercolors and water brush, watercolor sketchbooks, then I learned to make my sketchbooks myself, and now it is my faithful companion, I never leave home without a sketchbook ".

Carla, like several sketchers has left the country, she is currently living in Argentina, she always keeps in touch. She has another activity for which we know her, tattoos, and she has had some adventures that I would like to tell you about in another post, such as that bicycle trip through Latin America and she has also just exhibited 50 of her drawings in Argentina, most of them made " in situ ", in a previous entry" Events "I published the invitation. 

"The USKCCS changed my life, gave it a new meaning, new goals and a beautiful way to tell my story. To date I have many sketchbooks full of drawings, my history in drawings, many countries drawn, various exhibitions and a world that still to come ... "
